Tonya Logan is a dynamic, determined and driven teacher-leader, speaker, and trainer. Working in the field of education came naturally; being from a long line of educators…it’s in her DNA! Tonya has 15 years of experience in the field of education as a special education teacher, case manager and department chair. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hampton University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, with an emphasis in Special Education, from the College of William and Mary. She is currently pursuing an Ed.S. in K-12 Leadership and Administration at Regent University. Tonya has professional experience in educating students with exceptionalities, writing curriculum, providing instruction to diverse learners, building relationships, behavior management and modification, strategies for increasing student achievement, cultural competence, differentiating instruction, home-school connection & parent advocacy, and mentorship. Tonya is on the Board of Directors of several nonprofit organizations, including Ripen the MeriSTEM which focuses on closing the achievement gap for underrepresented individuals interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) career fields. Tonya lives in the present, understanding that it is a gift and should not be taken for granted. She is passionate about living a life that makes a difference and walking in her purpose. She is committed to her work as an educator, but she realizes that her greatest assignment is wife to her wonderful husband and mother to her four beautiful children. She works alongside of her husband, a Senior Pastor of a local church, leading the Youth Ministry, Women’s Ministry and using her gifts in visual/graphic arts. “If you can't figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” Bishop T. D. Jakes
