Bishop Glenn Dickson, son of J.D. and Lacisha Epps-Dickson is a native of Kingstree, South Carolina. When he was a young boy, his family relocated to Paterson, New Jersey where he completed his education. In 1976 during worship service at the Paterson Evangelistic Center Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.), Bishop Dickson accepted Christ as his personal savior. With a deep sense of commitment and new life, Bishop Dickson served the Lord fervently. In 1982 he received the call of Acting Pastor of the Highway Church of Christ of Paterson under the pastorate of Bishop Dr. Liston Page, Sr. He subsequently formed the Reborn Evangelistic Center, a non-denominational church rooted in apostolic faith. In 1992, under the organization of the church, Bishop Dickson was ordained by State Bishop Swift. Within two years, Reborn Evangelistic Center expanded into the nearby Elizabeth, Union, and Newark communities. Bishop Dickson later rose to the position of Regional Bishop over Miracle Church in Palmetto, Florida and also overseeing Bishop of Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Church in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
In the summer of 1999, Mother Arleen Maiden of the New Jerusalem A.U.M.P. Methodist Church of Claysville, Salem County, New Jersey invited Bishop Dickson to be a guest sermonizer. After several explosive Crusades and outreach services Bishop Glenn Dickson opened the doors of Reborn Evangelistic Crusade Ministries in Salem. Fifty-two people attended the first worship service; the committed membership roll swiftly grew to 200. In 2003 Bishop Dickson prayerfully led Reborn Evangelistic Crusade Ministries to acquire a 6200 square-foot building, 250-seat sanctuary, complete with fellowship hall, classrooms and computer lab. On September 2, 2005, Bishop Dickson married the lovely Andrea Nicole Francis, affectionately known as Lady D, who is faithfully working by his side as First Lady, Church Chief Executive Administrator fulfilling the mandate God has laid before them. Together with the R.E.C.M. church family they are Impacting the World, Changing Lives, and Making a Difference!
Over the past twenty years, Bishop Dickson has introduced many innovative programs in the City of Salem, Paterson and Murfreesboro, North Carolina including, Friday night Live!, services, Kingdom Youth Ministries, Project New Start of Salem County Inc., a youth-in-crisis after school prevention/intervention program, also collaborating with the Prosecutors Office, Sheriffs Department, Salem Schools, and many other community service programs. He is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Project New Start Community Development Corporation, a faith-based non-profit organization formed under the auspices of Reborn Evangelistic Crusade Ministries which addresses the needs of the under served through support services, education and career building. Bishop Glenn Dickson also received the Community Builders Award of Salem County, and has been recognized by the Senator and Assemblymen. Bishop also serves as a committee person on the Democratic Committee in Logan Township and Logan Township Planning Board. Bishop Glenn Dickson also received the Martin Luther King Award in January 2009 for recognition of his roll as a Community Activist.
Most recently, Bishop Dickson founded and oversees the much needed, and well received, Chadad {Sharpening} Collaboration, a Mentoring Fellowship for Pastors. This fellowship was birthed out of Bishop Dickson’s understanding that wise and profitable discourse sharpens men’s wits. Taken from Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”, this fellowship serves as a resource for Pastors to help them manage the challenges particular to their calling while offering personal support to the total man. This alliance also provides these shepherds with the necessary tools and instruction to further develop their ministries such as business acumen, church growth, conflict resolution, and identifying and building church leaders, to name only a few areas of care. As iron tools are made keen and fit for use by rubbing them against their like, the current Chadad collaborators benefiting from this powerful partnership include, Pastor Dana Farley of Asbury Park, NJ; Pastor Benjamin Ward of Vineland, NJ who was also ordained by Bishop Dickson at Reborn’s Holy Convocation held in July 2006; and Elder Michael Diggs of Willingboro, NJ.
Notwithstanding his many accomplishments, he remains humbled for what the Lord has done in his life, stating “God is a preserver and a rejuvenator of all who fall short of His glory." As a Christian motivational speaker and one of the most sought after revival speakers, Bishop Dickson's messages are unparalled.
Bishop Dickson’s life scripture is Psalms 34:1b -- "I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
